What is Local Hours?

Local Hours is a hyperlocal app for India that helps you discover which street vendors, kirana stores, sabzi mandis, chai tapris and neighborhood shops are open right now. Vendors update their own open/closed status in real time so you always know where to go.

Which cities is Local Hours available in?

We're launching first in Pune and rolling out across India city by city. You can sign up a shop from anywhere in India — customers will see vendors within their neighborhood automatically.

Is Local Hours free for customers and vendors?

Yes. Local Hours is 100% free for both customers and vendors. Customers also earn coins they can redeem at partner stores. There are no listing fees, no commissions, and no paid promotion tiers.

How do vendors update their open or closed status?

Vendors get a simple dashboard in the Local Hours app with one toggle to mark their shop Open, Closed or Offline. They can also set business hours so the status updates automatically, and post community updates about deals, stock arrivals, or being away temporarily.

Can I list my kirana store or chai tapri on Local Hours?

Absolutely. Any local shop — kirana, sabzi mandi, chai tapri, street food stall, salon, tailor, medical store — can sign up as a vendor. Sign up takes under 5 minutes: add your shop name, category, location and a storefront photo. You go live after a quick verification.

How is Local Hours different from Google Maps or Zomato?

Google Maps lists businesses but rarely shows real-time open status — vendors can't easily update it. Zomato and Swiggy focus on restaurants and delivery. Local Hours is built specifically for the small, community-level shops that power Indian neighborhoods, with live status that the vendors themselves control.

When will the Local Hours app launch?
